Skills for Life and Work is a training programme for young people who want to develop their skills and get ready for work. If you’re not sure what kind of job you’d like, Skills for Life and Work can help you decide. Enrolling now for September 2023.
Our highly experienced and qualified team of Employment Support Officers and Training Officers work closely with programme participants to explore their career options and provide a range of supports and assistance to help them move into their chosen employment.
Skills for Life and Work is designed for young people aged 16-17, with extended age eligibility for young people with a disability up to age 22 and up to age 24 for those from an in-care background.
Usel delivers Skills for Life and Work in vocational areas including:

IT User & Digital Skills
The participant will work towards achieving targeted qualifications in each of the four areas outlined below:
Personal and social development
Employability skills
Professional and technical skills
Essential skills in communication,
application of number and ICT
Skills for Life and Work will help you address personal and development needs and gain skills and qualifications you need to get a job or progress to higher level.
